A native Houston area Texan, Kathy Thompson, REALTOR®, has lived in Fort Bend County for 30 years and dedicated 26 of those years to helping the people in the Houston metropolitan area, buy and sell their homes. As a Graduate of the Realtor® Institute (GRI), a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), and a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE), Kathy has actively applied her knowledge and skills garnered over the years to the benefit of her numerous clients. A consistent multi-million-dollar producer, Kathy’s success is fueled by the way she keeps her clients’ needs foremost, and treats her clients as she would her own family. She loves the satisfaction of helping people she really cares about with something as personal and important as their home. Beyond real estate, Kathy is very active with committee work for her church home at First United Methodist Church. She also volunteers with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the CASA Home Tour, the Quail Valley Garden Club Home Tour and the Missouri City Exchange Club. " I needed to sell a home in Sugar Land so I chose several potential agents through Zillow and interviewed them by phone and in person. I chose Susan Greer because of her extensive experience and I have now seen this in action. The home was empty and as a part of her service Susan used a professional stager with a warehouse of furnishings to make the home more attractive for the showings. She also used a professional photographer and the online photos she chose for the listing were quite appealing. Her staff wrote very warm, inviting descriptions for potential buyers to read as they viewed the online photos such as, “Another view of the dining area. Imagine the gatherings and get togethers that could be hosted in this space which opens to the large patio and backyard.” Home sales today are driven by the Internet and all these details are important for attracting a large number of buyers so that a home will sell quickly for a good price. Susan set an asking price that I thought was a little high but I trusted her judgment. On the seventh day we received and accepted an offer that was 6% higher than the asking price. Susan’s experience continued to be apparent as she skillfully navigated the steps between the offer and the closing which both protected my interests as the seller and were acceptable to the buyer.
